But here's a little bit about who I actually am: the woman behind the Wild West words!

    I had a regular, personal travel column in The Boracay Sun, an island newspaper in the Philippines, sharing my adventures on the island and beyond. I was also invited to spend a weekend on a luxury cruise with legendary reggae band Big Mountain to interview them for a double-page spread, while they explored and enjoyed island life

While I absolutely adore what I do for work, life isn’t all about computers and keywords!

For me, it’s also about my own adventure, curiosity, freedom and peace of mind. I’d love to share with you a sneak peek into some of the most weird and wonderful things about who I am and what I’ve done, so you can really see what’s shaped me over the years.

  • I love international travel (especially escaping the British winter!). I lived in and explored the Philippines for seven years, and have visited 36 countries, including Mexico, Sri Lanka, the Caribbean islands, the Maldives, The Gambia, The Republic of Cabo Verde, Finland, France, Greece, Spain, Turkey, Malaysia, Borneo, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia and the Cook Islands – to name but a few!

  • I was a Professional Mermaid Swimming Instructor and event performer with the Philippine Mermaid Swimming Academy, am a self-confessed sea creature 🧜🏼‍♀️

  • I’m an Advanced Nitrox Scuba Diver with over 170 dives and whenever I travel somewhere warm, I love to head into the sea to explore the underwater realm

  • I’m half-English, half-Finnish and by nature love all things quintessential, peaceful, natural, sauna and wilderness/water-based

  • Kayaking and paddleboarding are my new passions, and I recently spent two months practising on the lakes of central-southern Finland

  • I’m Cambridge University-certified (CELTA) to teach English as a second or foreign language, with a BA (Hons) in Business and Leisure Marketing

  • My ideal evening? Watching the sunset on the beach or by a lake, with excellent company, cheese and a good glass of red

It doesn’t matter if I’m cowgirlin’ on a Wyoming ranch, sipping wine in Sonoma California, working from my campervan by a Finnish lake, or exploring the coast of south west England; I will always bring curiosity, passion, creativity, respect and precision to every word I write – with a touch of storytelling magic, too!
